Job Description
Job Summary:
As the Fruits & Vegetables Sr Executive at Zepto (operating as MotherHub), you will oversee all
aspects of the fresh produce section, ensuring the highest quality standards, effective inventory
management, and a top-tier customer experience. Youll lead a team to ensure that all fruits and
vegetables are properly sourced, stored, and displayed, while optimizing processes for Zepto's
fast-paced, online-first grocery model.
Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Training:
- Lead and manage the Fruits & Vegetables team, ensuring they are motivated,
well-trained, and meet operational goals.
- Provide ongoing training on produce handling, food safety, and customer service
standards.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement action plans for team development and
improvement.
2. Inventory & Stock Management:
- Oversee inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing waste or
spoilage.
- Ensure the proper storage, rotation (FIFO), and replenishment of produce stock.
- Work closely with suppliers and the purchasing team to order high-quality produce and
manage stock turnover.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and ensure accurate data for reporting purposes.
3. Quality Control & Safety:
- Maintain the highest standards of product quality by conducting daily inspections of fruits
and vegetables.
- Ensure that all produce is handled, stored, and displayed according to Zeptos food
safety and quality control guidelines.
- Address quality issues immediately and take corrective actions as needed.
4. Visual Merchandising & Presentation:
- Oversee the design and setup of attractive, organized, and hygienic produce displays.
- Ensure proper labeling, pricing, and signage for all fruits and vegetables.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and visually appealing produce area in line with Zeptos
branding and customer expectations.
5. Customer Satisfaction:
- Monitor and improve the customer experience by ensuring that online orders are
accurately picked, packed, and delivered on time.
- Handle customer complaints or issues related to produce quality or availability promptly
and professionally.
- Work with the customer service team to address any feedback regarding fresh produce.
6. Operational Efficiency:
- Streamline processes for order fulfillment, stock rotation, and quality control to maximize
efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements that align with Zeptos speed and
customer satisfaction goals.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of fresh produce to
customers.
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in produce management, preferably in a
retail, e-commerce, or grocery setting.
- Leadership: Proven track record in team leadership and managing people in a
high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
