Job Description
- Should have experience with Carsim software for model building & co-simulation using Carsim - Matlab interface.
- Should have intermediate knowledge of vehicle controls system & should be able to interpret the algorithms for chassis control e.g. Torque vectoring or active/semi-active suspension & ABS system.
- Should be aware of VS scripting for Carsim.
- Develop 1-D mathematical models for Vehicle Dynamics subsystems using Matlab - Simulink.
- Good hands-on experience with MATLAB tools & should be able to perform post-processing using MATLAB-scripts.
- Should have experience in troubleshooting the vehicle dynamics criticalities developed in Simulink.
- Experience in building K&C test rigs in Carsim using VS scripting would be helpful.
- Development of Car models using Adams-Car, IPG-carmaker & Altair motion-solve is an added advantage.
- Use simulation tools to optimize the car setup and to develop new solutions to further improve overall car performance on track.
- Support, coordinate and analyze, vehicle tests on rigs as well as car sub-assemblies testing.
- Support pre-event simulation work and post event analysis review within the Vehicle Performance Group.
- Carry out in depth data analysis investigations and develop metrics to provide crucial information for simulation correlation and vehicle performance development.
- Extensive work experience in the field of vehicle dynamics, simulation, ride performance, suspension definition and car performance analysis.
- Strong mathematical and data analysis skills.
- A high level of expertise in Matlab (Python and C would also be an advantage).
