Performance Tester @ Valuelabs

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute performance tests using JMeter to evaluate system behavior under different loads and conditions.
• Simulate heavy user loads to assess the performance of web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
• Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and potential failures.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand system architecture and provide actionable insights for performance improvements.
• Document test scenarios, results, and recommendations clearly and effectively.
• Participate in performance planning and capacity planning activities.
• Stay updated with the latest performance testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  -2+ years of experience in performance testing, preferably with JMeter.
• Strong understanding of software performance testing principles, including load, stress, and endurance testing.
• Proficient in using JMeter for test creation, execution, and reporting.
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTTP, REST, SOAP) and application servers (e.g., Apache, Tomcat, JBoss).
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., JVisualVM, New Relic, Dynatrace) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
