Job Description

Menu Planning & Culinary Development

  • Design and execute high-quality menus across multiple cuisines (e.g., Indian, Asian, Continental, etc.)
  • Innovate and refresh menus seasonally based on food trends, guest preferences, and cost considerations
  • Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation

Kitchen & Staff Management

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and coordinate between different cuisine sections
  • Manage, train, and develop the kitchen team, including Sous Chefs, CDPs, and Commis
  • Schedule staff shifts efficiently to optimize performance and reduce labor costs

Food Quality & Hygiene

  • Ensure all dishes meet fine dining standards in flavor, plating, and quality
  • Maintain strict hygiene and food safety practices in line with FSSAI/HACCP guidelines
  • Conduct regular quality and temperature checks

Cost Control & Inventory

  • Monitor food cost, wastage, and kitchen profitability
  • Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and inventory control
  • Conduct regular stock audits and ensure optimal usage of resources

Guest Experience

  • Customize meals for guests with dietary restrictions or special requests
  • Support front-of-house staff in delivering seamless culinary experiences
  • Take feedback constructively and implement changes when required

Events & Special Projects

  • Create unique menus for events, private dining, and festive occasions
  • Collaborate with the management team for food and wine pairings, chefs tables, or promotional events

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining or multi-cuisine restaurant
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training
  • Expertise in various cooking techniques and cuisines
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food cost management, inventory control, and kitchen operations
  • Passion for innovation, creativity, and excellence in food presentation
  • Familiarity with modern plating and international culinary trends
  • Experience in managing high-volume service with premium quality
  • Understanding of customer service and guest engagement in a fine dining setup
