Job Description for Sales Representative in Banking and Finance Domain, Capital Markets

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in the Capital Markets division. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales within the banking and finance domain, specifically in capital markets. This role involves identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the capital markets.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute sales strategies and promotional campaigns.

2. Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to understand their financial needs and provide personalized solutions.
  • Conduct financial assessments and recommend appropriate capital market products and services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.

3. Market Analysis and Reporting:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive offerings to remain competitive.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to management.

4. Product Knowledge and Compliance:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of capital market products and services, including equities, bonds, derivatives, and other financial instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant banking regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Education:

  • Bachelors degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications.

2. Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales within the banking and finance domain, specifically in capital markets.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

3. Skills:

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and financial data.
