Job Description
Job Title: Network Engineer
Experience: 6 8 Yrs.
Mandatory Skills: Must have strong hands-on experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF), network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), VPN/security solutions, and hold relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP
Location: HBR Layout, Bangalore
Job Type: Permanent/Full-time Position
Shift Details: IST Shift (02:00 PM to 11:00 PM)
Role and Responsibilities:-
- Should have a complete understanding of networking concepts & technologies
- Be able to upgrade the firmware of all the network devices
- Should ensure that all the network devices are syncing time with configured NTP server
- Should have good information and knowledge about Cyber Security (SPAM/ PHISHING, etc.)
- Should be able to install, configure, manage & troubleshoot FortiGate & Cyberoam Firewalls
- Should be able to configure firewall policies & rules
- Should be able to analyze the network traffic for troubleshooting issues
- Understand how different types of VPNs work & be able to configure as & when required
- Should be able to configure IPsec and SSL VPNs
- Should be able to handle IPsec change over and Fail over configuration
- Should be able to handle & troubleshoot Cisco Routers (4331, 2901), Cisco Catalyst Switches (9300, 2960)
- Should have good knowledge on the Stacking concepts
- Should have good knowledge and understanding of VLAN concepts and configure internet access to various VLANs as needed
- Should install & configure Wi-Fi Controllers and VLAN assignments
- Should have complete understanding of Antivirus systems installation/ Setup
- Should be able to track the device on Network switches using MAC address
- Should coordinate with ISPs for any internet related issues & fix them
- Should ensure the latest device configuration backups are maintained
- Should ensure the daily bandwidth utilization is monitored and reports are generated
- Should be able to handle user-end desktop level issues
- Should assist all other team members and ensure the smooth operations of IT support
- Should ensure the network documentation is updated on time.
- Knowledge on fiber & WiMAX for Site-2-Site connectivity will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge on various Cisco Security products like, Secure Endpoint, Umbrella, Email Security will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge on VoIP technologies, SIP protocol will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge on CCTV & Biometric will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge on ITIL & ISMS process/ policy frameworks will be an added advantage.
