Responsibilities:
- Lead and own the end-to-end design and implementation of scalable and advanced Business Intelligence solutions that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Translate business needs into BI strategies by partnering closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior business leaders
- Collaborate closely with business leaders to gather requirements and ensure alignment between BI initiatives and business goals
- Conduct in-depth data analysis on insurance data to develop KPI and Metrics that drive actionable insights for business decision-making
- Develop complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Architect and maintain data models (including dimensional/star schema models) that serve as the foundation for enterprise analytics
- Act as a point of escalation for complex BI issues and lead resolution efforts collaboratively
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools
- Establish best practices for Data Governance, Quality Assurance, and performance tuning of BI solutions
- Mentor junior BI developers and provide guidance on technical challenges and project execution
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering best practices and maintain high-quality standards in the codebase
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent Industry technical skills
- 8+ years of experience in business intelligence development or a related role with a proven track record of successful projects
- In-depth knowledge of databases, data warehousing principles, and advanced SQL skills
- Proven Lead experience and a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process
- Strong expertise in dimensional modeling techniques for analytical applications
- Proficiency with BI tools such as Thoughtspot, PowerBI, Tableau, or similar platforms are essential
- Experience working in python or any other programming languages is a plus
- Familiarity with DHIC (DataHub & InfoCenter) & Insurance domain is a strong advantage
- Experience working with Kimball methodologies is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong understanding of business processes and requirements
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
