Job Description
Role & responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and optimize the refrigeration cycle
- VRF System design, product performance & qualification as per ISO standards
- Development of parts locally
- Work with sourcing team for development of parts
- Clarify drawings & other specs to local vendors
- Coordinate with design centers for substitution of process/material based on local requirements/availability if required
- Support sourcing team to validate vendor process and establish assurance findings to improve reliability over product life cycle
- Product Customization as per India business specific requirement
- Good knowledge of Engineering changes process
- Document control
EDUCATION PREFERRED:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
M.Tech: Heat transfer / HVACR would be an added advantage
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Target experience level: 5+ years in HVAC Light commercial / VRF products.
Essential Competencies/ Primary Skill Set:
- Good knowledge for design consideration for VRF / LC products
- Good understanding of Thermal engineering, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics etc.
- Conversant with CAD platforms, Computational Fluid Dynamics etc. and flare for simulations and performance evaluation under varying conditions
- Conversant with design of controls for HVAC systems
- Understanding sheet metal, plastic and machining processes
- Strong Project Management capabilities
- Exposure to Inverter technology, VRF
- Exposure to product life cycle management tool
