Job Description
- As a Data Science Team Lead, you will lead and mentor a team of data scientists/analysts to provide analytical insights by analyzing various types of data. This includes mining customer data, reviewing relevant cases/samples, and incorporating feedback from others. Working closely with business partners and stakeholders, you will design analysis, testing, and measurement approaches to improve our understanding and address emerging business issues. Leveraging your Data Science skills, you will produce intelligent, scalable, and automated solutions. Collaborating with Technology teams, you will develop new capabilities by defining requirements and priorities based on data analysis and business knowledge. You will also lead analytical projects independently, setting goals, providing benefit estimations, defining workflows, and coordinating timelines in advance to develop expertise in specific areas. In this role, you will provide updates to leadership, peers, and stakeholders to simplify and clarify complex concepts and analysis results effectively. Emphasis will be placed on actionable outcomes and the impact on the business. Requirements: - 2 to 5 years of experience in advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning. - Strong knowledge of best practices in credit risk, understanding the full lifecycle from origination to debt collection. - Proficiency in ML algorithms, BIG data concepts, and cloud implementations. - High proficiency in Python and SQL/NoSQL, with experience in Collections and Digital Channels being a plus. - Strong organizational skills, excellent follow-through, and outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. - High emotional intelligence, a can-do mentality, and a creative problem-solving approach. - Takes personal ownership, self-starter with the ability to drive projects with minimal guidance, focusing on high-impact work. - Continuously seeking knowledge, ideas, and feedback to build skills and expertise. - Experience with big data and cloud computing, specifically Spark, Hadoop (MapReduce, PIG, HIVE). - Experience in risk and credit score domains is preferred.
