Business Intelligence (BI) Team Lead
Job Objective
JiBe is a cloud based fully integrated ERP system for the shipping industry. Our goal is to allow shipping companies to improve productivity, efficiency and safety levels, while reducing costs. JiBe ERP enables increased automation and streamlining of processes, creating pre-defined workflows and reducing the usage of email and paper.
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Team Lead to manage and mentor a team of 6 BI developers in a fast-paced, product-based environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in BI and analytics domain, with hands-on expertise of at least 5 years with Power BI as well as experience with additional BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView/Qlik Sense, and others. A strong hands-on experience with relational databases is essential.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of BI developers, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of analytics solutions.
- Architect and implement BI solutions using a variety of tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.).
- Collaborate with product teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Review technical documentation, data models, and dashboard/report designs.
- Plan and manage team tasks, sprints, and timelines using Agile methodologies.
- Coordinate with release management teams for smooth deployment of BI solutions.
- Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into BI processes to enhance insights and automation.
- Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and security compliance across BI platforms.
- Stay updated with emerging BI and AI trends to drive innovation within the team.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
- Proficiency in multiple BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, QlikView/Qlik Sense, etc.
- Strong database skills: SQL Server, MongoDB, or other relational/non-relational databases.
- Proven experience in leading BI teams and delivering enterprise-grade analytics solutions.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Advantageous Qualifications
A person cannot be an expert on everything, but if you have experience with one or more of the following, it can be an advantage for you and your team:
- Experience in a product-based company is highly desirable.
- Exposure to cloud BI platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience with Mongo or other document databases.
- Experience in leveraging AI technologies within BI workflows.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices for BI deployments.
- Relevant certifications in BI tools or data platforms.
