Job Description
- As the Deputy Manager (Indirect Taxation) at an Indian based manufacturing company, you will be responsible for various key tasks related to GST and Customs compliances. Your primary responsibilities will include managing GST audits by collating documents, compiling records, reconciliation statements, and ensuring complete adherence to facts in replies to Spot Memos. You will also be required to liaise with consultants and coordinate with the team for providing information relevant to scrutiny assessments, as well as follow up with documents/records submission for GST return scrutiny assessments/investigations. Additionally, you will be expected to prepare dashboards and reports at regular intervals to highlight key metrics related to GST/Customs compliances. It will be essential for you to conduct a periodical review of GLs related to GST/Customs and continuously monitor controls and process improvements to ensure efficiency in GST/Customs compliance and adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs). To qualify for this role, you should hold a CA with 2 years of experience or an LLB from a reputed University with 4 years of post-qualification experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Big 4s, LKS, or manufacturing industries. A strong theoretical knowledge of GST/Customs provisions is also required for this position.,
