Job Description

    As a lead software engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management, you play a crucial role as a leading technologist in an agile team. Your primary responsibility is to design and deliver cutting-edge technology products that are trusted, secure, stable, and scalable. You will be instrumental in implementing critical technology solutions across various technical areas to support the firm's business objectives effectively. Your key responsibilities will include executing software solutions, designing and developing innovative solutions, and troubleshooting technical issues using creative problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for creating secure and high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms, and ensuring synchronization with relevant systems. Additionally, you will produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring adherence to design constraints during software code development. Your role will also involve gathering, analyzing, synthesizing, and visualizing data from diverse sets to enhance software applications and systems continuously. In addition to your technical duties, you will proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture. You will actively contribute to software engineering communities of practice, participate in events exploring new technologies, and foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. The qualifications, capabilities, and skills required for this role include formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and a minimum of 5 years of applied experience. You should possess excellent programming skills in Core Java, practice TDD and BDD engineering techniques, and have a good understanding of Java IOC frameworks like Spring or Guice. Familiarity with next-generation messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka, Solace, or Ignite is essential. Additionally, strong database fundamentals, proficiency in writing complex queries, and experience in organizing data for performance troubleshooting are crucial. An ideal candidate should have a solid background in application development with a passion for working in Front Office Technology. A comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, agile methodologies like CI/CD, application resiliency, and security is necessary. Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline, such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile, is highly desirable. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills include experience in trading technologies, knowledge of Kotlin, familiarity with modern front-end technologies, and exposure to cloud technologies.,
