Job Description
- As a Software Developer at 21 Knots, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing your skills and expertise to create value for our esteemed clients. We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong background in backend development and a working knowledge of frontend technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with backend frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask, and familiarity with frontend tools like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and optionally React, Angular, or Vue. Your responsibilities will include developing, testing, and maintaining backend services using Django, FastAPI, or Flask, designing and implementing RESTful APIs for web and internal tools, working with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB, optimizing application performance, implementing backend security best practices, and collaborating with frontend developers, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Additionally, you will be expected to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, support basic frontend development tasks, and work with modern frontend frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue. To be successful in this role, you should have 2-3 years of hands-on experience in backend development, exposure to full-stack development environments, and experience working with RESTful APIs, databases, and cloud integration. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Proficiency in backend frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask, familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB, and basic knowledge of frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are essential. Exposure to Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS for responsive UI design and experience with React, Angular, or Vue are considered advantageous. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Agile/Scrum methodologies is also beneficial. The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving and debugging skills, an understanding of RESTful architecture and secure coding practices, the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and good verbal and written communication skills.
