Cloud Engineer ( VMWare ) @ Leading Client

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced Cloud Migration Specialist with strong expertise in VMware-to-Google Cloud migrations, specifically leveraging Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE).
• The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of migrating VMware workloads, including vCenter and ESXi, from on-premises environments or other hyperscalers to Google Cloud using HCX and native migration tools.
• In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing end-to-end migration strategies for large-scale VMware workloads.
• You will analyze existing infrastructure, design secure and scalable migration roadmaps, and ensure seamless workload transitions to GCVE while minimizing downtime and risk.
• Hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting VMware environments as well as migrating workloads to Google Compute Engine (GCE) or Google Cloud VMware Engine is essential.
• The candidate should be proficient in identifying dependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring high availability during migration.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including cloud architects, security engineers, and application owners, will be critical to ensure alignment with business goals and compliance standards.
