Senior Cloud Engineer @ Applied Cloud

Job Description

Role Summary: Responsible for end-to-end management, support, and optimization of AWS Cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, cost efficiency, and high availability. This includes implementation, monitoring, automation, and compliance with industry best practices and policies. Key Responsibilities: Implementation & Setup Design & implement AWS Control Tower landing zone as per AWS Well-Architected Framework. Create & configure AWS accounts (Billing, Security, Logging, Shared Services, Prod, Dev, UAT). Set up VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, NAT Gateways, VPN/Direct Connect. Configure IAM, SSO, MFA, roles & policies (least privilege). Deploy security tools: AWS KMS, GuardDuty, Inspector, WAF, Security Hub. Infrastructure as Code: Terraform / CloudFormation. Support & Administration Daily monitoring of AWS resources (EC2, RDS, EKS, S3, VPC, etc.). System administration: user management, patching, backup, log configuration. Troubleshooting & performance tuning. Implement cost optimization (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances). Ensure compliance with security & audit requirements. Monitoring & Reporting Create dashboards (CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, CloudTrail). Provide daily, weekly, and monthly utilization and cost reports. Conduct quarterly backup restoration & DR drills. Perform vulnerability assessment & patch management. Required Skills & Experience: Education: B.E. or equivalent. Experience: 4+ years in AWS cloud engineering. Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Associate & Professional. Core Skills: o AWS services: EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, EKS, ECR. o Networking: Subnets, Security Groups, NACLs, VPN, Load Balancers. o Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS). o IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation. o OS: Linux & Windows. o Monitoring: CloudWatch, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus. o Automation: Python, Shell scripting, Lambda.
