Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer to design, implement, and manage AVD environments with seamless integration into Active Directory (AD), Microsoft Intune, and identity and federation services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, endpoint management, and secure identity solutions to support scalable and secure virtual desktop deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments for enterprise-scale use.
- Integrate AVD with Azure AD & Azure Active Directory (AAD) for user authentication and access control.
- Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for policy enforcement, device compliance, and application deployment within AVD.
- Implement and support identity federation solutions (e.g., ADFS, Azure AD Connect, SAML, OAuth) for seamless single sign-on (SSO) and secure access.
- Monitor and optimize AVD performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements across virtual desktop infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to user access, desktop performance, and integration points.
- Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to ensure end-to-end service reliability.
- Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployment and management.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, and Group Policy.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and compliance.
- Expertise in identity and federation technologies such as ADFS, Azure AD Connect, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including VPN, DNS, and firewalls in cloud environments.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
