Job Description Business Development Manager (BDM)

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, research, and open new customer opportunities with a strong focus on strategic hunting and account expansion in the North American market.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline by preparing comprehensive prospect lists and account profiles.
  • Target prospective customers through Email, Cold Calling, LinkedIn, Social Media, and Networking Events.
  • Develop personalized and high-impact messaging to engage key decision-makers at prospective accounts.
  • Lead and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting and introductory calls to negotiation and closure in coordination with the Sales Director/VP.
  • Drive account penetration strategies and upsell/cross-sell opportunities within existing clients.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new trends, opportunities, and target segments.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Pre-Sales, and Product teams to design and execute campaigns for lead generation and brand positioning.
  • Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and conferences to promote services and network with potential clients.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records in CRM for all lead generation, prospecting, and client interactions.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets.
  • Mentor and guide junior BDEs in lead generation strategies and best practices.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven experience in B2B business development from the North American market.
  • Strong experience in selling Software Products, IT Services, or Technology Solutions; exposure to the Healthcare industry is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop long-term partnerships.
  • Strong social media management skills for business outreach and branding.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
