Job Description
- As a Costing Specialist in the electrical and electronics industry, your responsibilities will include conducting Zero Base Costing, Should Costing, MHR Calculation, Commercial Negotiation, VAVE, Cost saving, and Benchmarking. You will be tasked with Raw material Indexing & Tracking, as well as managing Commodity Price working for materials like copper. Additionally, you will be responsible for Vendor Development, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement of Electrical & Electronics Components. Your role will involve demonstrating expertise in should costing for parts/products related to power electronics category and semiconductors. You should possess a deep understanding of industry techniques to establish fact-based pricing positions, determine best value, and devise economic sourcing strategies. You will be expected to cost components according to the company's norms, conduct Zero Base Costing, MHR calculation, and engage in commercial negotiations with suppliers in collaboration with the SQ team. It is crucial to have product knowledge of Electric Vehicles Motors, Controllers, and semiconductors, as well as the ability to evaluate suppliers based on Technology, Financial aspects, and Supply chain considerations. Preferred industries for this role include Automobile and Farm Sector. The ideal candidate should hold a B.Tech degree in Electrical & Electronics with 4 to 7 years of relevant experience. In exceptional cases, consideration may be given to GET/GATs with 1 year of experience for smaller commodities. Key Core Skills required for this position include Analytical Thinking, Communication Skills, Influencing Skills, Project Planning & Execution, Risk Analysis, Supplier Selection, Pricing, Price Optimization, Supplier Risk Management, Sourcing, Strategic Sourcing, and Benchmarking. Secondary Skills that would be beneficial for this role are Negotiation, Project Management, and Supplier Management.,
