Job Description
- As the Assistant QA Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Engineering team by leveraging your expertise in software quality assurance. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the QA Manager in overseeing a team of 4-5 QA engineers, guiding them towards achieving the highest standards of quality for our SaaS products. Working closely with the QA Manager, you will contribute to defining and implementing robust QA processes, test strategies, and automation frameworks. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and customer support, will be essential to ensure seamless product delivery and the release of high-quality software. Your role will involve actively participating in the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in driving test automation efforts to enhance test coverage and efficiency, ultimately improving the overall quality of our products. Monitoring and tracking quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts, will be part of your regular tasks. Additionally, providing feedback and career development guidance to team members, as well as identifying and mitigating risks related to software quality, will be crucial aspects of your role. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 4 years of experience in software quality assurance. Additionally, having 1+ years of experience in a leadership or assistant managerial role will be beneficial. Your proficiency in manual and automated testing methodologies, automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and scripting languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, or Ruby will be essential. Experience with CI/CD tools, cloud environments, test management tools, and bug tracking systems will also be advantageous. Being well-versed in Agile/Scrum methodologies, possessing strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and having excellent communication abilities will be key to your success in this role.
