Job Description

    As a Senior Associate Major Incident Manager at Genpact, you will play a crucial role in leading the resolution of major incidents to restore services promptly. Acting as the central point of contact during such incidents, you will ensure clear communication and coordination among all stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include assessing the impact and urgency of incidents, collaborating with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and implementing workarounds if permanent solutions are delayed. You will be expected to provide timely updates to senior management, business units, and affected teams, effectively communicating complex technical issues in a clear, concise, and non-technical manner. Transparency throughout the incident lifecycle and after resolution is paramount, and you will be responsible for developing and maintaining incident reports, metrics, and dashboards to measure incident response effectiveness. Moreover, you will be accountable for delivering process trainings, acting as a subject matter expert in various IT projects, and working with suppliers and partners in a multicultural environment. Your role may involve managing large conference calls or war rooms, demonstrating a proficient understanding of IT landscapes, relevant industry knowledge, and technical skills such as database administration, application monitoring, and networking. To excel in this role, you should possess solid communication skills, assertiveness, analytical thinking, and a problem-solving approach. Your adaptability to changes, organizational skills, and ability to work independently will be crucial. Additionally, you must exhibit concise writing skills, attention to detail, and the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. The qualifications we seek in you include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Preferred qualifications involve hands-on experience in Major Incident Management, along with excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. A strong understanding of IT service management processes, incident management, and root cause analysis, along with an ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent, will be advantageous.
