Job Description
Role & responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled AWS Security Specialist to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS security services, IAM, network security, and compliance frameworks, and will work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure robust security practices across the cloud environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement and manage security controls across AWS environments.
- Develop and enforce IAM policies, roles, and permissions.
- Configure and monitor network security components such as VPCs, security groups, and NACLs
- Ensure data protection through encryption, secure storage, and access controls.
- Automate security tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and audits.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents using AWS CloudWatch, GuardDuty, and other observability tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
- Stay updated on AWS security best practices, compliance standards, and emerging threats.
