Job Description
Role & responsibilities
The Civil & Structural Designer is expected to be qualified in 3D and 2D cad software like PDMS, E3D, TEKLA, CAD Worx and AutoCAD, respectively. Capable of 3D modeling and 2D drawing extraction / development of civil & structural detail drawings for onshore projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Study and understand the civil & structural scope of work for proposals and projects. Need to be conversant with Company and applicable international codes and standards.
- Model and detail foundations and structures based on client and project requirements.
- Modeling and Detailing knowledge of onshore projects based on client and process requirements, as well as knowledge of relevant industry standards.
- Generate 3D models based on minimum engineering design inputs for steel structures and concrete structures. Create 2D GA and detail drawings inline with good engineering practices and to client and Company standards.
- Understand and has knowledge on type of materials for civil and structural works.
- Participate in inter disciplinary review, develop 3D model and perform clash check using reference models and resolve as applicable.
- Prepare civil and structure preliminary MTOs during proposals. Prepare detail MTOs during engineering execution of projects.
- Support for import and export of reference model to PDMS / E3D from vendor inputs.
- Import and export of reference model to TEKLA from PDMS/E3D & CADWORKS.
- Conversant in TEKLA, User connections and user macros
- Review of vendor design / drawings deliverables in line with project requirements.
- Perform regular TEKLA model checking and stagewise clash check in TEKLA using reference models and resolve as applicable.
- Effective implementation of change management and revision Control.
- Participate in design review and implement the changes of 3D model structural deliverables.
- Assigned tasks will be executed with limited supervision.
- Ability and willingness to travel, as required to fulfill project and business needs.
- Actively support, participate in, and maintain the integrity and on-going function of the company and facility HSSE program; ensuring a safe/healthy work environment.
- Provide support to processing facilities as required by operations on engineering/technical matters.
- Knowledge of relevant Industry Standards. (ACI, AISC, BS, EURO and other international detailing knowledge).
- Effective implementation of quality systems, procedures, management of change and revision control.
Work Experience
Education Qualification :
- Diploma in Civil Engineering
Experience :
- 2-10 years in oil & gas Industry experience
- Prior work experience in Production Facility Engineering (Onshore) projects, Site Engineering support during execution and operation.
- Knowledge and exposure to TEKLA, E3D/PDMS Design & Draft and additional 3D modelling software's.
Expertise :
Onshore facility projects, and Construction with strong background in civil & structural design and drafting background.
