EEG Technician @ Apollo Hospitals

Job Description

Minimum Qualification Required for EEG Technicians:

Essential Educational Qualification:

• Diploma or BSc in Neurotechnology / Neurodiagnostic Technology
• OR BSc in Allied Health Sciences (with Neurophysiology training)
• OR any bachelors degree in science (preferably Life Sciences) with a certified EEG technician training course (minimum 6 months)

Desirable:

• Certification from NABL/NABH recognized institution or professional society (e.g., ABRET or equivalent Indian accreditation).
• Experience in handling adult and paediatric EEG recordings (including sleep-deprived EEGs and ICU EEG setups)

Technical Skills Required:

• Hands-on with digital EEG machines (Nihon Kohden, RMS, Natus etc.)
• Knowledge of 10-20 electrode placement system
• Basic troubleshooting of artifacts
• Capability to identify and flag abnormal findings: focal slowing, epileptiform discharges, burst suppression, etc.
