Job Description
. Inventory Planning & Control
- Maintain accurate stock levels across categories (FMCG, perishables, non-food, etc.).
- Monitor demand vs supply and ensure timely replenishment from vendors/warehouses.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, stock audits, and ensure 100% WMS (Warehouse Management System) accuracy.
2. Stock Movement & Documentation
- Oversee inbound (GRN, put-away) and outbound (picking, dispatch) stock processes.
- Track inter-store/warehouse transfers and ensure timely documentation.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO for perishables and proper storage conditions for fresh produce, dairy, and frozen items.
3. Shrinkage & Loss Prevention
- Identify and minimize stock losses due to damages, pilferage, or expiry.
- Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for variances and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with security and operations teams for loss prevention.
4. Vendor & Procurement Coordination
- Work closely with the procurement team for timely purchase orders and replenishments.
- Monitor vendor fill rates and escalate supply chain issues.
- Coordinate returns for damaged or unsold goods as per company policy.
5. Reporting & Analytics
- Generate MIS reports on stock status, variances, wastage, and replenishment needs.
- Track key KPIs like Inventory Accuracy %, Stock Turnover Ratio, Fill Rate, and Shrinkage %.
- Provide insights for demand forecasting and process improvements.
6. Compliance & Process Adherence
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI and safety standards in handling food inventory.
- Enforce adherence to BigBasket SOPs in storage, handling, and dispatch.
- Train staff in inventory handling, hygiene, and safety protocols
