Job Description
- As a Senior Compliance Manager at Microsoft, your role is crucial in leading Controls and Compliance initiatives within the India South Asia region. You will report to the India South Asia Compliance Lead and work closely with various segments in MCAPS India to ensure a Business-Led Compliance environment. Your responsibilities will include: - Being the main point of contact on Compliance for the business Lead and supporting them in driving a strong tone from the top - Providing compliance insights to help the business achieve its objectives compliantly - Reviewing automated and manual processes, guiding on remediation efforts, and resolving compliance-related issues - Partnering with resources to drive controls improvements in various areas such as Spend Management and Anti-corruption risk mitigation - Proactively driving internal control-related improvements and updating processes to respond to emerging risks - Engaging with Internal Audit to develop issue remediation plans and closing issues - Leveraging AI and automation tools for data analytics and actionable insights In terms of qualifications, the ideal candidate should have: Required Qualifications: - CA or an MBA - Finance or a Cost Accountancy degree with 10+ years of experience in business finance and audit - Strong leadership skills, business partnering capabilities, and controls & compliance culture Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to articulate thoughts coherently - Thrive in complex environments and collaborate across groups - Experience with statutory laws, accounting policies, tax laws, etc. - Handling outsourced partners and working in an outsourced model - Detail-oriented, with operational experience and providing strategic leadership - Open mind with a willingness to learn and embody culture and values Microsoft's mission is to empower every individual and organization to achieve more.
