Job Description
- Role Overview: You will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety within the organization by promoting awareness, ensuring accountability, and participating in safety initiatives at all levels. Your role will involve organizing plant fire and safety inspections, conducting occupational health and safety audits, and identifying potential hazards to assess risks across all operations. Additionally, you will participate in project safety governance systems, conduct risk assessments, and investigate workplace accidents to prevent recurrence. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate and participate in safety governance systems and subcommittees - Identify potential safety hazards and conduct risk assessments - Investigate workplace accidents and near misses to determine root causes - Ensure compliance with legal obligations and statutory requirements - Prepare and submit Safety Management Information System (MIS) reports - Support in executing health and safety plans according to legal guidelines - Organize and conduct trainings for health and safety matters - Review safety audit findings and ensure compliance - Maintain emergency response plans and organize drills - Organize campaigns and activities to promote safety awareness - Purchase and ensure availability of personal protective equipment - Review job-specific safety reviews and safety performance of contractors - Review job safety analysis and hazard identification periodically Qualification Required: - Education: B.Tech/BE in any discipline + Post diploma in industrial safety from a recognized institute - Experience: 8-12 years of experience in thermal power/cement/steel plant projects - Demonstrated track record of implementing safety initiatives and protocols - Experience in conducting risk assessments and ensuring regulatory compliance Additional Details: - No additional details are provided in the job description.,
