1. Provides senior leadership and strategic direction for the VMO, overseeing the end-to-end vendor management process in a global /regional field operations environment involving multiple vendors
2. Develops the organizational design and functional roles for the VMO, setting strategic priorities in alignment with IT and operational objectives.
3. Drives vendor management reporting and metrics using scorecards and KPIs to provide visibility into performance and risk.
4. Assists procurement in optimizing the cost-effectiveness of negotiations and ensures compliance with vendor management policies.
5. Serves as the leadership-level contact between vendors and internal customers, consolidating and communicating reporting on vendor contracts, performance, and risk to stakeholders .
1. Experience in leading a Vendor Management Office or an equivalent function within a global organization.
2. Strong negotiation, networking, and conflict resolution skills to manage complex business relationships.
3. A comprehensive understanding of vendor management policies, performance, risk, and contracts .
4. Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools for reporting on vendor performance.
5. Familiarity with financial concepts such as ROI, total cost of ownership, and depreciation is essential.
6. Understanding of different types of risks & their impact in Field Operations related projects involving multiple vendors
1. 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
2. Proven experience leading a VMO or similar function, with the ability to manage global projects and business relationships effectively .
