Job Description
- As an Assistant Manager & Management Trainee - Record to Report at Genpact, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in maintaining and updating the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare and organize financial data for the financial close process. In this role, you will work closely with the R2R lead or manager to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Your expertise in Record to Report knowledge will be essential in keeping accurate records and documentation of financial transactions, reconciliations, and procedures. Additionally, you will support the financial close process by preparing variance analysis and writing commentaries on actuals vs forecast/budgets to help drive key business decisions. To excel in this position, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, along with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in ERP systems such as Blackline, SAP, Ariba, or Alteryx, as well as MS Office, will be necessary for success in this role. Preferred qualifications include being a Chartered Accountant (CA) and possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical abilities, effective teamwork skills, and exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
