Software Developer - Ruby & Python @ Kyndryl

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Learning about existing processes and creating new ways to solve them with automation and/or updating processes
• Evaluating new technologies and services for the environment
• Participating in a daily standup and team meetings
• Collaborating with the team on projects and day-to-day work
• Updating and writing documentation for our services and standard operating procedures
• Researching architectural performance and risks

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on coding experience in Ruby and Python
• API and third-party integrations
• Strong infrastructure knowledge: server hardware, storage, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Experience with version control (Git, GitHub/GitLab)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Use of monitoring tools (Zabbix, New Relic)
• Proficiency with visualization tools (Grafana, Power BI)
• Experience with metrics technologies (rrdtool, Ganglia, InfluxDB)
• Configuration automation and orchestration (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Linux system administration and scripting (UNIX shell, Bash)
• Skilled in troubleshooting and managing Linux systems
• Software deployment using containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with machine learning/AI is a plus
• Programmatic monitoring and issue resolution
• Agile environment experience
• Automation and tool-based problem solving
• System/server lifecycle management
• Building/modifying automation scripts and tools
• Break/fix and ticket-based support
