- Knowledge and Experience of Sheet Metal Design and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- Understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and drawing standards.
- Strong knowledge and experience in CATIA V5 and Teamcenter & Vis mockup is a plus.

Role Description / Job Summary:
The Automotive Cross-Car Beam (CCB) with Sheet Metal Bracket CAD Designer will be responsible for the end-to-end design of CCB/Sheet parts/brackets such as IP Center Support, Reinforcement IP Center Upper, Steering Colum, IP Support Lower and Upper, Air bag Support and Mounding, IP End Support, PDL Support, Brackets, and etc. The ideal candidate must have worked at least One or two vehicle program(s) from concept to until production release. The role requires strong design fundamentals, material/process knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality components that meet performance, aesthetic, and cost requirements.
Key Responsibilities / Deliverables:
- Responsible for end-to-end design on Cross-Car Beam commodity.
- Excellent in CATIA V5, including Sheet metal Design, GSD, Part Design, Assembly, and Drafting workbenches.
- Expert and ability to follow and update the CAD as per the Sheet metal nomenclatures.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to work independently.
- Experience with multiple programs, managing projects from concept through production release.
- Strong design fundamentals along with material and manufacturing process knowledge to design high-quality components.
- Collaborate effectively with Design and Release Engineers (DnR) and other cross-functional teams.
- Provide new CAD proposals and technical solutions to Design and Release (DnR) Engineer and team.
- Deliver CAD 3D/2D models and documentation with high quality and on-time delivery.
- Good in GD&T with practical experience for creating 2D and 3D drawings.
- Flexible team player and able to work effectively under challenging and demanding environments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance existing product design performance and efficiency.
- Able to work in fast-paced settings while prioritizing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior team members to foster their development and team success.
- Candidates having Instrument Panel (IP) commodity, Teamcenter, Visualization mockup and 3DX experience will be an added advantage
