Role Summary
We are hiring a Business Analyst Lead (Data Specialist) for our Data & AI delivery team.
You will lead requirement workshops, document what the business needs, and do hands-on data analysis to shape clear, buildable specs. You will work on real client AI projects (mostly on-prem) and help take dashboards, pipelines, and reports to go-live with clean documentation and smooth user sign-offs.
Key Engagement
- Requirement Elicitation & Workshops run discovery sessions, capture use cases, and agree success metrics.
- Documentation Ownership write BRD/FRD, user stories, data dictionaries, and acceptance criteria in simple language.
- Client Communication manage day-to-day queries, send weekly updates, and align stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management work with business users, product, and engineering to resolve gaps and close decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and write crisp, complete requirements (BRD/FRD, stories, acceptance criteria).
- Map processes (as-is/to-be) and create simple dashboard/report mockups for user review.
- Run data profiling with SQL; share sample outputs and reconcile with business rules.
- Coordinate with data engineers and BI developers; review deliverables against specs.
- Prepare UAT plans, support user testing, capture defects, and drive sign-off.
- Keep documentation current in Confluence; send weekly status and decisions log.
Tech Skills
- SQL & Data Analysis write queries for profiling, validation, and sample extracts; good Excel skills.
- Reporting/Dashboarding work with Power BI/Tableau/Looker; define wireframes and validate outputs.
- Data Basics source-to-target mapping, simple data models (star/snowflake), data quality checks and lineage awareness.
- Nice to Have basic Python/Pandas for quick checks; Jira/Confluence and Git basics.
Business Skills
- Business Analysis convert needs into clear stories and process flows (as-is / to-be).
- UAT Readiness prepare test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and support sign-offs.
- KPIs & Metrics define what to measure (adoption, data quality, performance) with the client.
Other Skills
- Basic Project Management maintain backlog, track status, note risks/issues (RAID), and support sprint planning.
- Ready to Travel short domestic visits for workshops and go-lives.
Education
B.E./B.Tech/MCA or MBA (IT/Analytics) or equivalent experience in Data/Analytics and AI.
