Job Description
Job Summary: Wissen Technology is seeking an experienced Data Architect to design and manage AWS-based enterprise data platforms . This role involves architecting scalable data pipelines, enabling analytics, and implementing governance frameworks that support strategic business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS services, data lakehouse architectures, and data governance frameworks.
Experience: 8 - 1 5 years
Location: Bangalore
Mode of Work : Full time -hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement AWS Data Lake architectures using services such as S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, Redshift Spectrum, and Sprinkle Data.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to support both batch and real-time data ingestion.
- Define and manage Silver/Gold layer transformations in the data lakehouse architecture.
- Ensure data governance, lineage, and security compliance with modern frameworks and best practices.
- Collaborate with BI teams to enable efficient reporting and analytics in Power BI.
- Provide architectural guidance, mentor data engineers, and support onboarding of new data sources.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
Requirements:
- 8-15 years of experience in data architecture or data engineering.
- Strong expertise in AWS services: S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift Spectrum.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data transformations.
- Strong knowledge of data lakehouse architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers).
- Hands-on experience with data governance and lineage tools (e.g., Sprinkle or similar).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Good to have skills:
- AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
- Prior experience in finance, consulting, or enterprise-scale analytics projects.
- Familiarity with data cataloging and lineage tools.
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and data security best practices.
