Job Description
- Lead coordination between public authorities, city planners, and tech providers to deliver integrated smart city initiatives aligned with urban development objectives.
- Oversee the end-to-end implementation of smart infrastructure components, ensuring they meet performance, scalability, and sustainability standards.
- Utilize real-time data analytics and IoT inputs to track and improve the effectiveness of smart city operations.
- Engage with stakeholders to communicate strategic objectives and secure alignment and buy-in.
- Foster public-private partnerships to drive collaborative innovation in urban technology deployments.
- Advocate for environmental responsibility, embedding green technologies and energy-efficient solutions in all implementations.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in smart cities, digital infrastructure, or IT strategy.
- Demonstrated expertise in IT Strategy aligned to public sector or urban development projects.
- Solid background in Operating Model Design and enterprise architecture for connected environments.
- Practical exposure to implementing smart city or IoT-based solutions in areas like transportation, energy, environment, or public safety.
- Strong understanding of sensor networks, real-time data systems, and their application in city planning and service optimization.
- Knowledge of government compliance frameworks, especially in public sector IT or smart infrastructure domains.
- Ability to drive sustainability and smart energy initiatives as part of digital transformation strategies.
- Experience working with cross-sector stakeholders and managing partnerships in complex projects.
- Preferred Additional Skills:
- Exposure to technologies such as SAP MM, SAP PS, SAP SD, SCADA, AI/ML, industrial automation, or sensor networks.
- Understanding of tools or platforms used in smart city implementation (e.g., HMI, VFDs, PLCs).
- Knowledge in Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Instrumentation.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field (mandatory)
- MBA preferred, especially with a focus on operations, strategy, or urban innovation
- Relevant certifications in smart infrastructure, sustainability, or project management are an advantage
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confident when engaging with senior-level stakeholders
- Independent, self-driven, and proactive in approach
- Comfortable working across diverse teams and cultural settings
