Job Description
- As the Productivity Compression IMB at Siemens Energy Transformation of Industry Division, your primary role is to drive cost-out projects from idea creation to full implementation within specific timelines and budgets. By ensuring cost savings, you enable the cost estimating and sales/proposal organizations to utilize these savings during the bidding process. Your key responsibilities include: - Enhancing the competitiveness and profitability of the compression product line, Turbo & reciprocating compressors. - Developing and monitoring the fulfillment of frame contracts and achieving productivity targets, while conducting benchmarks. - Ensuring proper input and tracking of product cost-out initiatives/measures in the relevant product cost tracking software (PRIOneer + PRIMO). - Demonstrating extensive knowledge and experience of purchasing fundamentals. - Participating effectively in teams and collaborating cross-functionally when necessary. - Updating databases periodically or as required and preparing/submitting various reports as needed. Qualifications required for this role are: - Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Petroleum). - Minimum of 5-8 years of industry experience in roles such as Application Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Process Engineer, Design Engineer, or Product Engineer. - Experience with turbomachinery or related rotating equipment and associated auxiliary systems is beneficial. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and data analysis.
