Job Description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw footage into visually engaging content for marketing campaigns, social media, product demos, training, and brand storytelling. You should have a passion for storytelling, a sharp eye for detail, and the technical skills to bring our vision to life.
- Edit raw footage into clean, engaging, and polished video content.
- Work closely with the creative and marketing teams to understand project objectives and deliver content that aligns with brand goals.
- Add sound effects, background music, voiceovers, and graphics to enhance storytelling.
- Cut and rearrange video sequences logically and effectively to create compelling narratives.
- Optimize video content for various platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Maintain organized project files, archives, and video libraries.
- Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to improve the final product.
- Stay updated on current industry trends, editing techniques, and software upgrades.
- Collaborate in brainstorming and pre-production processes for new content ideas.
Skills Set Requirement
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and/or DaVinci Resolve.
- Sound editing and mixing using Audition, Logic Pro, or similar tools.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation (Adobe After Effects is a plus).
- Understanding of color correction, grading, and visual storytelling.
Creative Skills:
- Strong sense of timing, visual composition, and storytelling.
- Ability to convert creative briefs into engaging video content.
- Eye for detail and high standards for video quality and consistency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Film Studies, Media, Communication, Animation, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Certification in video editing software is a plus.
Preferred:
- Experience in editing content for different formats such as reels, YouTube, ads, and training modules.
- Exposure to scriptwriting, storyboarding, and cinematography is an added advantage.
