Job Description
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime.
- Install, configure, and manage firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.
- Implement and enforce network security policies and practices.
- Conduct regular system upgrades, backups, and patch management.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network solutions with business applications.
- Provide technical support and guidance for network-related issues.
- Document network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and security threats.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/Aruba networking devices.
- Proficiency in configuring firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Knowledge of network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).
- Familiarity with network security practices and intrusion prevention systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or similar).
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of VoIP, SD-WAN, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with ITIL or Agile methodologies.
