Job Description :
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, manage, and maintain end-to-end reliability of PostgreSQL and NoSQL database systems (such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Couchbase).
- Optimize and tune PostgreSQL and NoSQL database configurations for performance, availability, and scalability.
- Automate database management tasks, monitoring, backup and recovery across all database technologies using scripting (Python, Bash, Go) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
- Design and implement high availability, disaster recovery, multi-tenant, and failover solutions for PostgreSQL and NoSQL platforms.
- Enhance observability, monitoring, and alerting for both PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and related tooling.
- Collaborate with application, product engineering, and DevOps teams to integrate database best practices and modernize infrastructure.
- Manage upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and incident response for all database services.
- Contribute to documentation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement in operational practices.
Tools & Technologies:
- Skilled in AppDynamics, Splunk, ThousandEyes, ITRS for instrumentation, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes (GKE), GitLab CI/CD.
- Familiar with modern observability practices like OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Datadog
- Strong knowledge of data platforms: BigQuery, Cassandra, Kafka, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
- Experience with AI/ML-based operations tools for automation, anomaly detection, and predictive alerting.
- Track record of building tools for system reliability, automated remediation, and performance tuning.
