Job Description
Job Overview:
We are looking for a PHP Developer with 46 years of experience to join our development team. This role is at the Subject Matter Expert (SME) level and reports to the Team Lead. The candidate will be responsible for both backend and frontend development, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and integration of user-facing elements. This is a hands-on technical role without managerial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable PHP modules.
- Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers.
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
- Integrate data storage solutions and create database schemas that support business processes.
- Ensure security and data protection best practices are followed.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Document development processes, code, and technical specifications.
Technical Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as CodeIgniter.
- Understanding of MVC design patterns and object-oriented PHP programming.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with MySQL and writing optimized queries.
- Understanding of accessibility and security compliance.
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems.
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git or SVN.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Python.
- Experience with performance tuning and debugging.
- Familiarity with deployment and CI/CD processes.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
