Job Description
Position: BI Architect
Location: Nagpur/Pune/Chennai
Type of Employment: Fulltime
Purpose of the Position:
To design, develop, support, and steer end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions by leveraging strategic thinking, technical expertise, and architectural leadership. The BI Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping data-driven decision-making by creating scalable, reusable, and high-performance BI frameworks aligned with business goals.
Key Result Areas and Activities:
- Architect and Design Solutions Current state assessment for prescribing a D&A modernization strategy and data-culture transformation roadmap. Architect and Design modern, high-performance, secure, self-service, adoption driven analytics solutions incorporating people, process, and technology levers. Review analytics solutions and processes for optimization and business value acceleration.
- Provide Advisory and Consulting Services Drive consulting engagements in areas of expertise across projects/accounts. Support pre-sales activities including engaging prospects, conducting workshops, developing point of views/solutions/scoping, writing proposals, engaging partners, and supporting sales and marketing enablement.
- Systematically Develop and Maintain Offerings Support offering development and lead its pilot implementation. Create implementation methodologies, processes, templates are defined, enhanced, and internalized for the prioritized solutions.
- Contribute to Organizational Strategy Provide thought leadership in the market, establish and run innovation labs, support GTM partnerships with channel partners, lead prioritized initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
Must Have Skills:
- Technical expertise in Strategy
- Should be able to lead Development team and help them with technical blockers.
- Experience in developing reusable artifacts/frameworks, re-usable assets, industry solutions, reference architecture etc.
- Good written and verbal skills, fluent English
- Decent understanding on Data warehousing concepts
Good To Have:
- Expertise in multiple analytics platforms such as Tableau / Power BI / Qlik / ThoughtSpot / Domo / SSRS
- Experience in developing reusable artifacts/frameworks, re-usable assets, industry solutions, reference architecture etc.
- Strong experience in designing end to end Strategy projects.
- Identify and Exploit New Technologies for New and Existing Accounts
- Build Capacity and Develop Talent for the Competency Centre
Work and Technical Experience:
- Experience in providing analytics solutions while maintaining balance between architecture requirements, effort estimations and customer specific needs.
- Executed consulting engagements for customer such as BI architecture assessment, BI Roadmap advisory.
- Designing and implementing Data Warehouses/Analytics Solutions.
- Expertise in leading learning and capability development initiatives at scale
- Experience in establishing and leading communities, interest groups and centre of excellence.
- Experience of defining and configuring the security model within Strategy deployments
- Excellent Data Modelling skills (RDBMS concepts, Normalisation, dimensional modelling, star/snowflake schema etc)
- Well versed with the latest trends in analytics, business intelligence and data visualization
- Developing baseline, target, and transitional Analytics architectures
- Preforming gap analyses, maturity assessments and developing Analytics technology roadmaps
- Capable of analytical technology assessment and strategic decision making.
- Working with end-users to design and build dashboards and customisations to meet their requirements and suit their role
- Hands-on working experience with Strategy for modelling, designing Strategy projects, reports, dossiers and documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (masters degree is a plus)
- Demonstrated continued learning through one or more relevant certifications or related methods
- At least 11+ years of relevant experience; two years may be substituted for a masters degree
