Job Description

As a candidate for the role of Sheet Metal Cabinet/Enclosure Design Engineer, you should possess the following skills and experience: **Role Overview:** With over 10 years of experience in sheet metal cabinet/enclosure design for complex industrial systems, you will be responsible for developing parametric CAD models and managing product variability in CAD systems such as Siemens NX, Solid Edge, or SolidWorks. Your deep understanding of design-for-manufacturing principles for sheet metal, including bending, welding, hardware, and finishing, will be crucial in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop parametric CAD models and manage product variability in CAD systems - Utilize rule-based engineering systems for design processes - Solve complex engineering problems and translate knowledge into structured rules and logic - Manage BOM, design documentation, and integration with ERP/PLM systems **Qualifications Required:** - 10+ years of experience in sheet metal cabinet/enclosure design - Proficiency in design-for-manufacturing principles for sheet metal - Experience with parametric CAD modeling and CAD systems like Siemens NX, Solid Edge, or SolidWorks - Exposure to rule-based engineering systems, either commercial or custom solutions - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex engineering knowledge into rules and logic - Familiarity with BOM management, design documentation, and ERP/PLM system integration The Preferred Qualifications for this role include: - Direct experience with Rulestream for modeling, scripting, rule authoring, and CAD integration - Experience as a Solution Architect or technical lead in rule-based engineering implementations - Familiarity with Honeywell Safety Manager SC cabinets or similar safety system enclosures - Exposure to electrical/electronic enclosure design, IP/NEMA standards, and compliance requirements Your expertise in sheet metal cabinet/enclosure design, along with your proficiency in CAD systems and rule-based engineering solutions, will be essential in contributing to the success of our team.,
