Job Description
- As a Demand Planning Professional at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in managing end-to-end procurement activities for both domestic and international sources. Your responsibilities will include handling procurement of various components like castings, machined components, sheet metal, fabricated parts, electrical items, and equipment required for production, focusing on cost and freight optimization for high voltage GIS systems up to 400kV. Additionally, you will oversee inventory planning and management to align with dynamic product requirements and establish safety stock levels for critical components related to delivery and quality. Key Responsibilities: - Manage end-to-end procurement activities for domestic and international sources. - Procure castings, machined components, sheet metal, fabricated parts, electrical items, and equipment for production, emphasizing cost and freight optimization for high voltage GIS systems. - Oversee inventory planning and management to meet dynamic product requirements. - Establish safety stock levels for critical components to ensure delivery and quality. - Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives in procurement activities. - Evaluate and develop new suppliers, accelerating development timelines. - Maintain strong relationships with suppliers for optimal business outcomes. - Contribute to departmental KPIs and strategic initiatives, including material management, cost optimization, and inventory planning. - Travel and conduct supplier visits as needed. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Qualification & Experience: - B.E. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 10-15 years of relevant experience in the Energy or Manufacturing sector. - Preference for candidates from the High Voltage (HV) industry. - Candidates from HV energy sector preferred, but those from Automotive, Manufacturing, or Power industries will also be considered.,
