Job Description
- As a Software Engineer II at Microsoft Defender for Cloud, you will be part of the Microsoft Cloud Security team developing cutting-edge security products and services to elevate industry standards and protect critical infrastructure globally. You will collaborate with skilled professionals in an inclusive environment to create innovative solutions that ensure the security of customers worldwide. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain tools to enhance operational efficiency and developer experience for organizations. - Work closely with various teams within Microsoft to deliver essential customer solutions and supporting technologies. - Conduct analysis on complex system behavior, performance, and application issues. - Implement modern software engineering practices to optimize deployments, reduce costs, and achieve critical reliability and availability metrics. - Provide guidance and education on integration, testing, monitoring, and security practices across diverse technology stacks. Qualifications: - Possess over 10 years of hands-on technical experience in managing large-scale production systems. - Proficient in cloud programming environments with a strong foundation in modern architecture principles. - Hold a BSC or MSC degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering. - Demonstrate excellent problem analysis skills. - Exhibit strong teamwork abilities with exceptional collaboration, communication, and leadership qualities. - Possess meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to high-quality engineering. - Capable of making significant progress independently and pioneering new initiatives. Additional Qualifications: - Prior experience in Security/Cyber domains. - Familiarity with Kubernetes and Containers. - Proficiency in .NET/C# programming. - Knowledge of the Azure cloud environment. - Experience working with application and system monitoring systems.
