Job Description
- You will be working as a Quality Assurance Engineer at the Sustainable Energy Management incubation venture within Nokia Strategy & Technology. The venture operates like a start-up team and focuses on developing a disruptive solution for real-time, distributed power asset and flexibility management in collaboration with partners and customers from the energy industry. The team is geographically distributed across the US and Europe. Your role as a Quality Assurance Engineer will involve the following key responsibilities: - Collaborating closely with the R&D team to review quality specifications and technical design documents. - Being actively involved with the software, taking a hands-on approach. - Developing detailed and comprehensive test cases and plans. - Planning, prioritizing, and executing tests effectively. - Generating status reports regarding product testing and defects. - Identifying risks related to quality and release schedules. - Assisting in technical documentation writing and user training. To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualification criteria and possess the expected competences: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of software testing experience, either manual or automated. - Demonstrated work experience with software quality assurance tools and processes. - Proficiency in performance and security testing. - Hands-on experience with QA methodologies, particularly in Agile/Scrum development. Desirable qualifications include: - Previous experience in enterprise SaaS and/or cloud environments. - Background in the energy/utilities/fintech industry. In addition to meeting the above qualifications, you are expected to be a team player and an individual contributor within an early-stage startup environment. You should be: - A self-starter who is willing to work independently and has a thirst for learning. - Highly communicative and collaborative as a team player. - Capable of adapting to ambiguity and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. - A creative problem solver with an out-of-the-box thinking approach.,
