Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft technologies (ASP.NET, VB, SQL Server) and proven ability to manage the end-to-end delivery of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for technical leadership, project governance, stakeholder communication, and delivery excellence across multiple projects.Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead and manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
- Create detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Track project progress and manage scope, risks, and dependencies effectively.
- Ensure timely delivery within agreed cost and quality parameters.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to align expectations.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance to the development team on ASP.NET, VB, and SQL Server-based applications.
- Review design, code, and architecture to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
- Participate in technical solutioning, feasibility assessments, and PoC (Proof of Concept) development.
- Drive modernization of legacy VB / Classic ASP applications to newer .NET frameworks.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for smooth deployment and support.
Team Management
- Mentor and guide developers and team leads in best coding and delivery practices.
- Conduct performance reviews and support team growth through technical and leadership coaching.
- Ensure collaboration between onshore/offshore teams.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as a single point of contact for client communication and escalation management.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Conduct regular status reviews, demo sessions, and stakeholder updates.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1015 years of overall experience, with 35 years in project management or technical leadership roles.
- Strong background in:
- ASP.NET (Web Forms / MVC / Core)
- VB.NET / Visual Basic / Classic ASP (for legacy systems)
- C# and .NET Framework / .NET Core
- SQL Server (Stored Procedures, Performance Tuning)
- Experience in migrating or modernizing VB applications to newer .NET technologies.
- Proficient in Agile / Scrum or Waterfall methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps / JIRA / MS Project.
- Strong understanding of web application architecture, API integration, and deployment processes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
- Exposure to cloud environments (Azure / AWS).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
- Experience working with global clients and distributed teams.
- Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or Microsoft Certified Professional.
