About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Operations Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across IT infrastructure and service delivery functions. This is a senior leadership role suited for a dynamic professional with a strong background in infrastructure project management, ITIL-driven operations, and stakeholder engagement in a 24x7 managed services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Technical Leadership
- Own end-to-end technical leadership for IT infrastructure projects ensuring on-time delivery within scope, budget, and quality benchmarks
- Develop and manage project charters, execution plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies
- Oversee full project lifecycle management in compliance with IT governance frameworks and methodologies
- Review and sign off on IT infrastructure deliverables and artifacts for completeness and accuracy
- Prepare and manage change requests aligned with client and organizational processes
Infrastructure & Operations Management
- Manage and oversee multi-domain IT infrastructure including:
- Server & Virtualization (VMware)
- Windows Server & Microsoft Exchange
- Storage & Backup Solutions
- Database Services
- Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Ensure high availability and operational excellence in a 24x7 support environment
- Drive adherence to ITIL processes Incident, Problem, Change, and SLA Management
- Track service performance metrics and implement corrective and preventive actions
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients and senior leadership
- Conduct regular project status reviews and provide structured progress reporting
- Present dashboards, performance insights, and risk assessments to senior stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to ensure seamless execution
Continuous Improvement
- Proactively recommend improvements in infrastructure engineering methodologies and best practices
- Identify operational efficiency opportunities and drive improvement initiatives
- Stay current with emerging trends in cloud technologies and infrastructure architecture
Required Skills & Experience
Primary Skills (Must Have)
- 1015 years of overall IT experience with 3+ years in Project Management within large IT infrastructure or managed services environments
- Strong hands-on exposure to VMware, Windows Server, Storage, Backup, Microsoft Exchange
- Working knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud platforms
- Deep understanding of ITIL frameworks and IT service management processes
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams in high-pressure environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
Secondary Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience in large outsourced IT service delivery environments
- Familiarity with enterprise organizational structures and cross-functional coordination
- Experience working in SLA-driven service delivery models
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology (B.E. / B.Tech) or MCA or equivalent qualification
