Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Agile Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in managing complex technology and data projects within Agile environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud cost optimization, Databricks workspace management, and Agile/Scrum project delivery. This role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on management to drive successful execution across cloud and data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead multiple end-to-end Agile projects across cloud, data, and analytics domains.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring delivery excellence.
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews).
- Utilize JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools for project tracking and reporting.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Partner with Product Owners and technical leads to prioritize backlog and align on deliverables.
Cloud Cost Optimization
- Oversee cloud resource utilization and implement strategies for cost efficiency and budget control.
- Collaborate with cloud architects and finance teams to analyze usage patterns and optimize spend.
- Develop dashboards and reports for continuous visibility into cloud cost performance (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Implement governance practices for sustainable and predictable cloud operations.
Databricks Workspace Management
- Manage and oversee multiple Databricks workspaces across development, staging, and production.
- Work with data engineering and analytics teams to optimize cluster performance and cost.
- Enforce workspace governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Drive automation and efficiency improvements within Databricks environments.
Agile Leadership & Collaboration
- Champion Agile principles and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members on Agile best practices.
- Foster strong collaboration across distributed teams and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with executives and technical teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of project management experience in IT, data, or cloud environments.
- 5+ years leading Agile/Scrum projects, preferably in enterprise or multi-team settings.
- Proven experience with cloud cost optimization (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Hands-on experience managing Databricks workspaces and collaborating with data engineering teams.
- Expertise in Agile/Scrum frameworks and tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Certifications preferred: PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP
