Job Description
Job Title: IT Analyst (Lab ops)
Job Location: Vikhroli west -Mumbai, India
Job Description:
Lab Management
- Help discover all the Lab environments in our remote offices, data centers, and cloud environments
- Work with the Lab Owners to gather requirements for every lab
- Work with the Lab Owners to help design labs based on their requirements utilizing preapproved Lab designs
- Work with the Lab Owners, ITS, and GIS to setup the labs
- Work with GIS to install security software and resolve security issues
- Register and document all labs
- Keep an up-to-date inventory of all the devices in every lab
- Assume a System Admin role for host servers, servers, and computers in the labs
- Work with ITS and Lab Owners on firewall requests and network issues
- Work with various teams for any lab related projects
- Work with various teams for any lab related issues
- Support lab operations across hybrid environments, including on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with security and operational standards across all lab environments
- Other duties as needed
Facilities Projects
- Work with the Facilities team to manage our Lab environments in reference to:
- Office closures
- New offices
- Migrations to new offices or data centers
- Migrations to new Lab rooms
- M&A (mergers and acquisitions)
Projects
- Act as a Project Manager or Lead for select lab initiatives, including tracking project timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and leading status calls
- Independently drive lab-related projects from concept to completion, demonstrating strong self-management and ownership
- Work with the Facilities, Lab Owners, Networking, Security, and Contractors on Lab related projects, which can include:
- Project Planning
- Meetings
- Requirements
- Design
- Migrations
- Testing
- Registration and Documentation
Training
- Complete a set amount of training every year focused on Lab Operations skills or requirements
Requirements
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to understand and learn new applications and systems
- Ability to work well with a team
- Ability to work well with customers
- A customer support background is preferred
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic lab environment
- Comfortable working in hybrid cloud environments (Azure, VMware, etc.)
