Role & responsibilities


ATS ELGi is looking for an experienced and driven Regional Sales Manager to lead sales and business development in the Eastern region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive or industrial product sales, with proven experience in selling to automobile workshops, garages, OEM workshops, and oil & lube businesses.


This role involves strategic planning, dealer management, customer relationship building, and driving sales growth to strengthen ATS ELGis leadership in the Automotive Equipment segment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and collection targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities in the automotive aftermarket and workshop equipment space.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM workshops, automobile service centers, garages, and dealer networks.
  • Ensure adherence to sales processes, compliance, and timely collections.
  • Conduct market research, track competitor activity, and provide actionable insights.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the regional sales team to deliver consistent performance.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, Accounts, and HR teams for customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Skills & Competencies:


  • Strong knowledge of Automotive Workshop Equipment / Industrial Product Sales.
  • Proven experience in Dealer Management, Channel Sales, and OEM Workshop Sales.
  • Ability to develop new territories, achieve sales targets, and drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Customer-focused, strategic, and results-oriented mindset.

Qualifications:


  • Education: Graduate in Engineering / Graduate with MBA or Masters in Sales & Marketing.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 11+ years in industrial or automotive product sales, preferably in:
  • Garage equipment, Tyres, Batteries, Automotive parts, Lubricants, Oil & Lube, or Workshop tools will be added advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales and collection targets.
  • Experience managing and mentoring regional sales teams.
