Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Conducting examinations and patient interviews to learn about symptoms and check for signs of disease
• Ordering and performing tests to determine the cause of symptoms
• Providing an accurate diagnosis based on the results of exams and tests
• Explaining the risks and benefits of available treatments to patients and helping them make an informed decision about care
• Performing procedures and prescribing medications to address cardiovascular conditions
• Educating and counseling patients on how to modify their lifestyle, diet and exercise to promote cardiovascular health
• Updating patient records
• Staying up-to-date on the latest research into cardiovascular medicine
