Job Summary
Capgemini is seeking a motivated WLAN RTOS Engineer with 48 years of experience to join our cutting-edge Wireless R&D team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Zephyr, FreeRTOS, or QNX, along with a solid foundation in OS internals and networking protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RTOS-based software modules for WLAN solutions.
- Implement and optimize synchronization methods, process/thread management, memory management, and IPC mechanisms within RTOS environments.
- Develop and integrate peripheral drivers (e.g., SPI, UART, SDIO, PCIe) in an OS context.
- Contribute to transport-level flow control mechanisms to ensure robust data transfer across interfaces.
- Collaborate with distributed teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Apply protocol knowledge (preferably IEEE 802.11 or other networking protocols) to enhance WLAN system performance and reliability.
- Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability by independently driving tasks and deliverables.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
- 48 years of experience working with RTOS (Zephyr, FreeRTOS, QNX).
- Solid understanding of OS fundamentals, including synchronization, process/thread management, memory management, and IPC.
- Experience designing and implementing at least one peripheral driver (SPI/UART/SDIO/PCIe) in an OS environment.
- Exposure to transport-level flow control mechanisms.
- Protocol knowledge in 802.11 or other networking protocols.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of distributed teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
